Inaugural CompIC Conference a Resounding Success

NetComposites’ inaugural CompIC, Composites in Construction, conference has been a resounding success with over 100 delegates from across the globe attending the event in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The day opened with an audience participation ‘post-it note’ session which questioned the barriers to composites in construction. The results of this session provided good talking points for the panel session later in the day.

Keynotes, presented by David Kendall of Optima Projects, Mark Hobbs of Gurit and Andrew Mafeld of Connectra, were all very well received and provided a good starting point for the various topics of the day.

Feedback for the event has been extremely high and delegates are now looking forward to attending day 2, the Composites in Construction Clustering Event.

Sue Keighley, Events and Communications Specialist at NetComposites commented “We’re really pleased with the outcome of the event so far. It is great to see people from across the supply chain interacting and looking at issues and the progress being made, allowing them to work together to increase the use to the use of composites in construction.”

The next CompIC conference will be held in 2017 and updates about the event will be made available via the compositesin.construction website.
